Wright Creative Co-Founder, Mark W. Wright, to Make a Guest Appearance on Howard University’s Radio Network during the 2022 Cricket MEAC/SWAC Challenge Kick-Off Game

Charlotte, N.C. – Mark W. Wright, co-founder of Wright Creative, has been invited to make a guest appearance by WHBC 96.3 HD3, a part of the Howard University Radio Network, at halftime of the 2022 Cricket MEAC/SWAC Challenge Kick-Off.

The annual early-season college football game showcases schools from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). This year’s matchup will feature the Howard Bisons against the Alabama State Hornets at Center Parc Stadium in Atlanta, GA on Saturday, August 27, at 7 p.m. EST.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN.

During the halftime show, Wright will join veteran broadcaster Trevin Jones, who will conduct the interview.

“It is an honor and privilege to have the opportunity to speak with an illustrious alum such as Mark Wright,” said Trevin Jones, who is in his ninth season as the play-by-play voice for Howard’s football team. “It’s also always good to share a perspective outside of my own on the future of our program.”

Wright, a Howard University alumnus, is a sports journalist and media producer. He spent 15 years at ESPN, serving as a founding member of ESPN The Magazine, a writer for The Undefeated, and a director at ESPN Events. While working at ESPN, he received producer credits on several critically acclaimed ESPN 30 for 30 films, including the documentaries SEC Storied and No Experience Required. Wright’s recent documentary, The Bison Project, is a podcast-style documentary about the controversy surrounding Howard University’s national soccer championship in 1971.

“We are very proud and honored to have Mark appear during our halftime radio broadcast,” said Ed Hill, Jr., who served as Howard’s sports information director for 33 years, and is currently a media consultant and historian at the school. “It’s a great opportunity for Howard to call in one of their own for a nationally televised game like this, and Trevin is excited about the opportunity to engage with Mark.”
