Amplify Charlotte Rebrands as Civility Localized

Civility Localized

New Name, Same Commitment to Amplifying All Voices and Engaging The Community

Charlotte, N.C. – Amplify Consulting, which has led communication and outreach for local governments for over a decade, announced today that the company has rebranded as Civility Localized, a social impact firm that will now provide services nationwide. The firm will still be headquartered in Charlotte.

Civility Localized is a HUB Certified Business and a certified Woman Owned Small Business specializing in community outreach planning and place-based outreach initiatives. The company served as the community engagement lead on a number of high profile projects, including:

  • The ongoing renovation of Independence Square in Uptown Charlotte, a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape Charlotte’s urban core
  • The trailblazing Reimagining Public Safety Project for the City of Asheville, which prompted a city-wide movement for racial equity and social justice
  • The pilot Participatory Budgeting Program for Mecklenburg County Government

Through her experience, founder and principal consultant Christine Edwards understands how to navigate the competitive bidding process. With Civility Localized, Edwards also advises small businesses on how to grow and win government contracts.

“With the launch of Civility Localized, we are creating a unique opportunity for the voices of so many city dwellers to be heard across the country,” says Edwards. “Civility Localized was founded on the concept of engaging differently. We are creating the new blueprint for community engagement which we hope will reach diverse communities everywhere.”

Civility Localized has already secured several major projects under the new name, including leading community engagement for the City of Charlotte Arts and Cultural Plan and teaching Equity in Contracting, a course for the Small Business Center at Central Piedmont Community College.

Beginning on June 1 at 12:00 p.m. EST, Civility Localized will host Civility Wednesdays, a weekly conversation series on community engagement and small business development held virtually on LinkedIn, featuring their newly hired team members and industry experts from all over the United States. For the full schedule, visit Civility Localized’s Linkedin page.

For media inquiries, interviews, and booking requests, contact Jameka Whitten at jameka@jswmediagroup.com. Edwards is available for speaking engagements, panel discussions, and other appearances to share her expertise in civic and community engagement, city planning, small business certifications, and DEI initiatives and implementation.
