On April 16, 2011, Charlotte Seen will host a fashion show themed “PASSPORT FOR FASHION” to help raise funds and awareness about saving the environment. To help make this event a notable success, Charlotte Seen partnered with Gilbert Iron and Steel owned by Steven Gilbert and several local hair salons, designers, local boutiques, museums, art schools, and makeup artists to share a common conviction and concern about our nation’s environmental crisis. Participating restaurants include: Enso, Amelie’s, Thai Basil, Crave Dessert Bar, A Piece of Havana, Ruth Chris, San Antonio Modern Mexican, Brio, Tasty- Yo, Divine Cupcakes and Yogurt, The Melting Pot, Yoforia, Le Coeurd’or,and Tastee Creations. Together, this team hopes to persuade others about the importance of environmental preservation, global warming, energy efficiency, and much more. The designer showcase includes a spectacular assembly by some of Charlotte’s top designers such as Luis Machiçao, Beth Pilger, Tara Davis, Hanna Taylor, and others. A portion of the proceeds will benefit for the homeless children of Charlotte – A Child’s Place.
Showtime for this event is 6:30 PM at the movie production warehouse REEL WORKS located at the NC Music Factory on 817 Hamliton Street, Charlotte, North Carolina 28206 – Phone: 704.375.4321. The evening kicks off with cuisine around the world with your passport,tasting decadent food and wine, sake from France, Italy, Brazil, Asia, India, America, Japan. While tasting and sipping, shop through the local artist and vendor Bazaar. The Bazaar will include jewelry, clothing, artwork, men’s gifts, pottery, accessories and other merchandise. After the reception each attendee must go thru PASSPORT FOR FASHION CUSTOMS to enter the 8 Amazing Fashion Shows. After the Fashion Shows an elegant dessert tasting and coffee will be served.
Admission will include champagne, wine, cocktails, sake, cuisine from around the world, eight fashion shows, give-a-ways, swag bags for the VIPS and seated ticket holders, red carpet, celebrities, dessert party, after party at BUTTER.
