On Q Performing Arts, Inc. invites you to celebrate the holiday season with the first ever “Q’s Holiday Jook Joint” on December 11, 2012 at Tempo Nightclub and Entertainment Complex (4809 Wilkinson Blvd. Charlotte, NC, 28208). Festivities begin at 8 p.m. sharp.  This event will serve as a fundraiser as well as birthday celebration for On Q’s Founder and Artistic Director Quentin “Q” Talley.

Start off the holiday season with an evening of art, spirits and good times featuring live performances by Quill, Ida Divine, Rudy Currence and the birthday boy himself, Q.  Musical directors DJ Flemingo & DJ DR will keep the place jumping all night long. Hosted by Bluz & Q, guests will enjoy food samples fromMert’s Heart and Soul Restaurant, as well as drink specials and giveaways courtesy of Remy Martin.

One hundred percent of the event proceeds will benefit On Q Performing Arts.On Q started in 2006 is the only not for profit professional theatre company in Charlotte that is dedicated to educating and producing classic, contemporary, and original performance works that reflect the black experience, especially that of the African American. On Q is currently in its fourth season as a resident company of Blumenthal Performing Arts and employs more than 60 artists, designers and staff each year.  Monetary support is greatly appreciated and all gifts are tax deductible under the fullest extent of the law.
