Mike Press was born in Mount Vernon, New York where his father is a Reverend, who is still active in the ministry at Macedonia Baptist Church, and where his mother worked in retail consultation. As an only child, Mike learned early on that he had a very open personality and a real love for entertaining others.
While still an undergraduate student, Mike began modeling on a part-time basis in Charlotte, NC. He attended Johnson & Wales University and then transferred over to Johnson C. Smith University where he studied Sports Administration. In Charlotte, Mike has been featured in numerous television commercials and magazine spreads in that region.
In 2011, Mike relocated to New York City and immediately landed a high profile music video assignment—he was featured in Beyoncé’s Best Thing I Never Had video playing the role of her high school boyfriend.
Mike is signed with agencies in Canada, Germany, South Africa and the United States. His portfolio includes work in Vogue Turkey, MTV, Coca Cola (TV Commercials), Reebok, Fifth Third Bank Advertisements, K-Swiss, Belk and Macy’s. Mike follows a doctrine of hard work and belief in his talent. His latest passion is acting; Mike is studying the teachings of Sanford Meisner.
Mike currently works as a full time professional model and is located in New York City. He is available for domestic and international travel. Mike is also available for film, video and hosting assignments in addition to modeling projects.
