“A Charlotte program is working overtime to help equip parents in this ever-increasing virtual world. Digital Charlotte’s P.O.W.E.R. program, which stands for Parents Operating With Educational Resources, aims to help parents in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System get the resources they need to help their children be successful. The program used to operate in-person, but the team at Digital Charlotte says it is now a self-paced virtual course. However, Bruce Clark, the Executive Director of Digital Charlotte, says he does not want parents to be overwhelmed by another virtual resource. Instead, he believes it can help parents navigate more of the virtual world their children are learning in.”
