February 18, 2009 (Charlotte, NC)- As the city prepares for the invasion of thousands of 2009 CIAA tournament patrons and entertainment seekers, JSW Media Group has partnered with Exogen and the|ENTERTAINMENT to bring an incredible line up of exclusive VIP worthy events during one of Charlotte’s most popular weekends. Our goal is to provide a series of events that will not only entertain but make a difference.

“We wanted to give people something a little different than your typical party,” says Jameka Whitten, principal of JSW Media Group. “Although, we always want people to have a good time, it is so important to give something back to the community.”

In an effort to live up to that mission, JSW Media Group and PJ’s Coffee & Lounge presents “Paparazzi Friday”, “Saturday Style Day Party,” and “Jazz Infusion” on February 27 and 28 during the CIAA weekend festivities. All events are at PJ’s Lounge at 210 E. Trade Street on the first floor of the Epicentre in Uptown Charlotte, NC.

Paparazzi Friday

Doors open at 8:00 p.m.

Admission is $10.00 before 11 p.m.

Dress Code: Fashion Forward. No Athletic Gear.

Paparazzi Friday is a creative vision featuring a live photo shoot in an upbeat, lounge environment, providing entertaining stimulus for all patrons with the glam and intimacy of a true VIP Affair. Featuring the photography of NC Image Zone and the make up artistry of Eloria Downs and Joy Randall courtesy of Flawless Make Up Art (complimentary make up touch ups for all ladies between 8-9 p.m.).  Music will be provided by dj rsenal. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Charlotte Literary Festival and its “Change is Coming to Charlotte” event series. Food & Beverage Special: Half-priced bottles of wine, half-priced tapas and $2.00 Domestics. The kitchen will be open until 2:30 a.m.

Saturday Style Day Party

11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. (Fashion Show @ 2 p.m.)

Admission: $10.00 before 1 p.m.

Dress Code: Casual Chic. No Athletic Gear.

Mini Fashion Show and Cocktail Party. Clothing provided by Belle Ville Boutique.  This event will serve at the official kick off for To Serve With Love Ministries, an organization dedicated to the battle against homelessness. Music provided by dj rsenal. A portion of the proceeds will benefit To Serve With Love. Food & Beverage Special: Half-Priced Specialty Martinis and half-priced appetizers. Kitchen will be open and serving lunch.  

Jazz Infusion

Doors Open at 7:00 p.m. (Band starts at 9 p.m.)

Admission: $15.00 before 9 p.m.

Dress Code: Upscale Chic, Cocktail Attire Encouraged

Lounge environment for those seeking something a little different during CIAA weekend, complete with a live band (5th and York, http://www.5thandyork.com/) playing elements of jazz, soul and funk from 9 p.m.-10 p.m. and DJ Justice will spin the rest of the night.  Author Amira Wilson will be promoting her new book, His Wife’s Diary (www.timelesshaven.com). Food & Beverage Special: Half-Priced Specialty Martinis and half-priced appetizers. The kitchen will be open until 2:30 a.m.
